Strama-MPS donates masks to schools

Due to the decreasing incidence values in the district of Straubing-Bogen, face-to-face teaching can take place again in some grades, as long as a minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be maintained continuously and reliably. In addition, the test specifications as well as the mask obligation must be observed. Strama-MPS Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG has produced a batch of surgical masks with shorter ear straps suitable for children in order to donate them to schools. On Monday, May 10, Denis Köhler from the MedTech sales department of the Straubing-based special machine manufacturer handed over 1,000 each to the St. Stepan elementary and middle school in Alburg and the Jakob-Sandtner-Realschule secondary school in Straubing. "It happens again and again that children lose their masks on the way to school or that the straps break during lessons. We are particularly pleased that we now have enough replacement masks for such emergencies," explains Anke Schill, vice principal of St. Stephan's Elementary and Secondary School.

Strama-MPS launched mask production at its Straubing site in record time in the spring of 2020. The masks can also be purchased on site at the factory outlet in Plant 2 at Schlesische Straße 135.
