Hypoid gear test rig

The hypoid gear test rig is a test machine with mechanical power circuit. Via two torque shafts two hypoid gearboxes (test and drive gearbox) are coupled with a spur gearbox. The hypoid test gearbox and drive gearbox as complete units are designed as exchangeable gearbox sets. The load torque is applied by a hydraulic load clutch. The test rig is driven by a variable-speed asynchronous main spindle motor. The test rig is designed as programmable load cycle test rig for endurance tests. The hypoid test gearbox can be operated with dip and injection lubrication. The oil conditioning in injection operation for the test and drive gearbox consists of controlled heating and cooling in the range from -20°C to 140°C and oil filtration. The quantity of injected oil is adjustable in the range from 0 to 10 liters/min.
