The high-speed FZG test rig is based on the standard FZG test rig. This is also a test machine with a power circulation system. The drive gearbox and the test gearbox are connected via a functional shaft train and a torsion shaft. A clamping coupling is located on the functional shaft train to introduce the load. Torque is measured on the torsion shaft. The test rig is driven by a speed-controlled asynchronous motor. The associated oil unit for spray lubrication features a cooling and heating system that keeps the test gearbox oil at the desired temperature. The temperature of the gear oil can be preset and monitored. The FZG high-speed gear test rig was developed jointly by Strama-MPS and the FZG at the Technical University of Munich and continues to be further developed in ongoing collaboration. A target speed of 22,500 rpm at up to 600 Nm on the pinion can be achieved.
