Assembly line for knuckles

This line is used to assemble knuckles for cars including: swivel bearing, angular ball bearing, retaining ring, dust cover, hub, ball joint and collar nut. In Station I the angular ball bearing is pressed in by means of a NC assembly press at controlled pressure and distance. In Station II the input shaft is joined. In Station III the input shaft is inserted into the hub by means of a NC assembly press. Collar nut peening is made in Station IV.

Highlights

Transfer line from Bosch; System TS2 plus for conveying workpiece carriers. The workpiece carriers are transported and stopped on driven accumulating roller chains.

Advantages of this transfer line:

At low quantities the assembly line can be operated by one worker.

At increased quantities up to 2 workers more can be assigned to every workplace.

Workpiece carrier quantities can be increased

Assembly machine for knuckles

Swivel bearings for passenger vehicles are assembled in this machine including as follows: swivel bearing, angular ball bearing, retaining ring, dust cover, hub, ball joint, driveshaft and collar nut. In Station I the angular ball bearing is pressed in with the NC joining unit at controlled pressure and distance. In Station II the driveshaft is joined. In Station III the driveshaft is drawn into the hub by means of the NC joining unit. In Station IV the collar nut will be peened.
