Opening: Strama LaserLab – Competence Center for Laser Welding and Process Development
With the opening of Strama LaserLab, we are expanding our service portfolio with a modern competence center for laser welding, process development, and process validation. From now on, we offer companies a professional development and testing environment to reliably evaluate laser welding processes, optimize them purposefully, and efficiently bring them to series production readiness.
At the LaserLab, we assess the technical feasibility of laser welding applications, test new components as well as material and material combinations, and develop stable, reproducible welding parameters. Through hands-on trials under real conditions, we provide a solid basis for decision-making—before any investments are made in production systems and automation technology.
Our offerings range from feasibility studies and preliminary trials to process optimization in laser welding, as well as the production of prototypes and small series. We also support with structured root cause analysis and targeted process improvement in cases of quality issues such as porosity, spatter, cracks, or insufficient weld penetration.
With Strama LaserLab, we bring together our many years of experience in laser technology, joining techniques, and automated series production on a dedicated development platform.
